Media release: Openmarkets Group obtains ISO 27001 certification, demonstrating best practice information security systems

20 September 2024

Openmarkets Group has been awarded ISO 27001:2022 certification by authorised agency, Global Compliance Certification (GCC). The certification is one of the world’s best-known standards for information security management systems.

Governed by the International Standardization Organization (ISO), ISO 27001:2022 is a globally recognised standard for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system. Companies that comply with the standard are well-placed to manage risks relating to security of data, with systems that respect all international best practices and principles. ISO 27001:2022 is the most recent framework of the ISO 27001 standard.

The ISO 27001:2022 certification is audited annually by GCC and valid for a three-year period, with the option for renewal. Openmarkets’ receipt of ISO 27001:2022 follows a submission process by Openmarkets and a comprehensive review conducted by GCC.

Dan Jowett, Chief Executive Officer at Openmarkets Group, says adherence to this standard is important in a digital environment where cyber threats are increasingly prevalent.

“With cyber-attacks becoming more frequent and more damaging around the world, Openmarkets continues to work tirelessly to ensure our business and clients are well-protected. Receiving the ISO 27001:2022 certification serves as proof that our information system security aligns with global best practice.”

“Openmarkets is focused on long-term growth, and we’ve got strong ambitions to build our client book and expand the breadth of financial products and services we offer. Strong information systems are a crucial element in this strategy and I’m proud of the work we’ve completed to-date to strengthen these systems.”
